At time of writing I received a V3 revision of this device (most recent revision at time of order).

One of the reasons for choosing this device was the cradle fitted to a 1.5m cable. Providing ability to move adaptor away from PC/monitor if suffered signal interference.

I downloaded the latest drivers, in advance, from TP-Link website (dated 30 July 2010) instead of using the ones supplied on an 8cm driver CD. And upon installing them I was informed Windows own built-in wireless manager would be used because lack of support for 64-bit operating system by the TP-Link wireless manager (only the driver portion was installed). But I don’t consider this a negative.

The wireless strength has range between 3 to 4 bars on average out of a maximum of 5 when connecting to a G router in the same room. Although the router is position the other side of a chimney breast out of line of sight of the adaptor.

Performance has exceeded my expectations playing World of Warcraft. And has not contributed any noticeable latency when compared to a wired connection to router.

The adaptor does get slightly warm when in use, but can comfortably hold it.

The prominent green flashing activity light on the white side may cause distraction, if you position adaptor in field of vision facing you.

This device is a bluetooth 2.1 + EDR dongle.

It works with Vista and windows 7 too (both 32 bit and 64bit).

I’ve had no problems connecting any device to my pc with this dongle at all.

I’ve played music from my phone to my speakers too… without the use of extra software.

A great product.

ps: I did read the other reviews and was a little worried, however the device works perfectly.

However Asus do not develop Microsoft Windows, so dont peanlise them for something they dont write! just rate the product!!

youve got too many desktop computers and you want to save space by only having one set of monitors, keyboard, mouse and speakers …. this is a great space saver… Have spent over three years with both a desktop mac and PC in my study and all the keyboards and stuff that go with them.. I have a set up with a pair of monitors on my PC and a single monitor from the mac. with this switch I now have the slave second pc monitor as the mac screen when the mac is selected, otherwise the pair of screens remain as the pc output.
